Lokman ÇAĞIRICI

He was born in Bulancak Giresun in 1965. in 1978, he started to reside in Mahmut Bey neighborhood of Bağcılar.

Graduated from Yıldız Technical University Industrial Engineering department in 1990, Mr. Çağrıcı worked as CEO for several enterprises and was involved in commerce until 1999.

Alongside the activities in the private sector, Mr. Çağırıcı started to involve in politics in 1990 and was elected as a member of Bağcılar Municipal Assembly in 1999.

After serving as a member of Assembly and Deputy Mayor of Bağcılar up until May 11th2007, Mr. Çağrıcı was elected as Mayor of Bağcılar by the Municipal Assembly upon founding Mayor of Bağcılar; Feyzullah Kıyıklık was elected as a deputy from Istanbul during General Elections in May 2007.

Being elected as the Mayor of Bağcılar during the local elections on 29 March 2009 Mr. Çağrıcı once again earned the right to serve the district as mayor with %57,25 majority after the local elections on 30 March 2014. By reaching %57,89 majority during the local elections on 31 March 2019, Mr. Çağrıcı was elected as the Mayor of Bağcılar third time in a row.

Alongside being the Mayor of Bağcılar, Çağrıcı is also the President of Union of Amateur Sports Clubs of Bağcılar, Councillor at Union of Marmara Municipalities, Deputy President of Union of Turkish World Municipalities, 2nd Deputy President of Network of South-East European Municipalities (NALAS), Council Member of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), Member of Board of Trustees of World Academy for Local Governments and Democracy (WALD) and Member of United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Section (UCLG-MEWA). Mr. Çağırıcı is married and has four children.
