Professor Dr. İlter KUŞ was born in 1970 in Adana. He completed his primary and secondary education in Adana. In 1994, he graduated from Ankara University Veterinary Faculty. In 1995, he started his doctorate education in Fırat University Faculty of Medicine Department of Anatomy. At the end of 1995, he was appointed as a research assistant to the same department. In 1999 he completed his doctorate. In 2000, he was appointed as Assistant Professor. In 2005, he received the title of Associate Professor. In 2009, he started to work in Balıkesir University Faculty of Medicine Department of Anatomy. In 2010 he was appointed as a professor. He has been working as the chair of Anatomy Department of Balıkesir University Medical Faculty since 2009, director of İvrindi Vocational School of Health Services between 2010-2011 and director of Balıkesir School of Health between 2011-2014. Between 2013 and 2016, he served as the Head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Between 2014-2018 he worked as the Vice Rector of Balıkesir University. His experimental work has focused on the Neuroendocrine system. Dr. İlter KUŞ, the number of international articles in SCI and SCI-Expanded, 51, and 48 in national refereed journals. More than 100 national and international papers were attended to the symposiums. International articles received 684 references. Dr. İlter KUŞ's H-index is 19. He is married with two children. Professor Dr. İlter KUŞ was appointed as the Rector of Balıkesir University with the Presidential decree published on 27.12.2018.
