Prof. Dr. Şükrü KARATEPE

Prof. Dr. Şükrü Karatepe was born in Kayseri in 1949. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kayseri and later graduated from Ankara University Law School in 1973. After graduation, Prof. Dr. Karatepe worked as a lawyer and labor inspector for a while.

Şükrü Karatepe, started to work as an assistant at Ege University Department of Economics and conducted academic studies in the United States and the UK. In 1983 he became a Dr. of Political Science, an Assoc. Prof. of Constitutional Law in 1989 and a full Prof. in 2011.

Şükrü Karatepe led the department of Public Administration at Dokuz Eylül University and worked as Political Advisor at Hak-iş and MÜSİAD. His article and research on Turkey’s political and administrative problems were published.

Şükrü Karatepe is currently holding an academic position at the Department of Political Information at Yıldırım Beyazıt University. He is married and has three children.
